Pricing

Tattoo pricing is based on the specific piece you are looking to get done.  Factors that influence the price include size, design, color, placement, client's ability to sit still, as well as technical difficulty of the tattoo. Our shop minimum is $100, and goes up from there.  To get an idea of price, fill out a consultation form and we will get back to you as quickly as we are able. Reference images are super helpful in this process as a description alone can be easily misinterpreted.  

We require a non-refundable deposit to book a tattoo appointment.  Deposits are based on appointment length ranging from $100 to $250.  Multiple appointments may be booked with one deposit, however, a deposit must be kept on file if you have upcoming appointments booked and will be applied to your last appointment.

We will not ask you to venmo us, Please Be wary of scammers. The only way we will collect your deposit or any form of payment is over the phone during our business hours or in person at leviticus.

Traditional Tattoo Aftercare

Always wash your hands with liquid unscented antibacterial soap (Dial Gold) and water before touching your tattoo.

Leave your bandage on for at least 2, but no longer than 24 hours.  (If you do not have a bandage, wash your tattoo after 2 hours.)

After removing your bandage, gently wash the tattoo with antibacterial liquid soap and hot water.  Use only fingertips, no washcloths or abrasive materials. 

Let your tattoo air dry or pat dry with a paper towel and apply a very thin layer of ointment after washing.  We recommend Aquaphor or Aquatat for the first 3-5 days. 

Wash your tattoo 2-3 times daily and apply ointment 3-5 times daily.  If the tattoo looks wet or dirty, wash it, let air dry and apply  a thin layer of ointment.  If the tattoo looks dry or flaky apply a thin layer of ointment. Never use bacitracin or vasaline.   

After 3-6 days your tattoo will start to peel and flake like a sunburn with ink colored skin.  At this point, you can replace the ointment with an unscented lotion, such as Cetaphil or Aveeno, for the remainder of the healing period.

Typically a tattoo takes anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to heal.  This varies from person to person. 

Be mindful of your new tattoo, it is an open wound during the healing process. 

Do not over apply lotion, this will close off your pores and prevent your from healing properly.

Do not pick or scratch your tattoo during the healing process, it can pull ink out of your skin and your tattoo will require repairAvoid direct sun exposure for one month.  After the healing process apply sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher when in the sun to help your tattoo age well.  Sun exposure will fade your tattoo over time

Do not soak or submerge your tattoo until it is completely healed.  No lakes, pools, hot tubs, baths, etc.  Showering is okay.  

Please listen to your artist’s advise and call the shop if you have any questions. Do not follow aftercare instructions from friends or other internet sites. Be aware there are many products on the market that can slow healing and/or promote an allergic reaction. 

Contact a healthcare professional at the first sign of infection.

Tips

Put clean sheets on your bed after getting tattooed. Dirty sheets can harbor bacteria. during the healing process, an open tattoo may stain your sheets.

You may ice your tattoo if it is excessively swollen. this is not required and is more common with areas such as the wrists and ankles. Do not place an ice pack directly on your tattoo, place Saran Wrap over your tattoo and the ice pack on top. Wash well after icing.

Wash your hands thouroughly with soap and water before touching your new tattoo.

Saniderm Aftercare

Leave Saniderm on for 3-24 hours after your appointment or until the seal around your tattoo breaks.

If the bandage is leaking, remove it immediately. If fluid can leak out of your bandage, bacteria can get underneath.

Once the bandage is removed you can continue with traditional aftercare methods or apply a new bandage after washing with antibacterial soap and allowing your tattoo to dry fully.

The new bandage can be worn for another 3 to 5 days. At this point, your tattoo should be mostly healed.

To remove your Saniderm, run water over the bandage while slowly pulling it off. Ink sometimes stains the bandage but does not pull the color out.

If you notice excessive redness around the bandage, you could have an adhesive sensitivity. While a bit of redness is common, if the bandage becomes uncomfortable, remove immediately and follow traditional aftercare methods.

Deposits

TATTOO DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.  should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment you must call at least 48 hours before your appointment during business hours. The more notice the better so we can fill your time slot.

CONSULTATION DEPOSITS ARE REFUNDABLE WITH PROPER NOTICE. Consultation deposits ensure clients show up for their scheduled appointment. While uncommon, If the client and artist are not on the same page after the consultation, the consultation deposit can be refunded. If the client cancels at least 48 hours prior to the consultation appointment, during business hours the deposit is refundable. After the consultation, this deposit is often made part of the tattoo deposit and becomes non-refundable.

Rescheuduling and cancelling

Failure to reschedule or cancel less than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment will result in the deposit being forfeit to the artist. This does not apply if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.
If a deposit is  forfeited or applied prior to finishing a multiple-session tattoo, another deposit will be required to book future appointments.  If a client doesn't not call or show up for an appointment, the deposit amount is doubled to book future appointments.

consultation process

consultations are done via our consultation form. The first step is to fill out a consultation form including reference images and details. The more thorough you are in your initial consultation e-mail the sooner we can schedule your appointment. We will need to have all pertinent information and determine the correct amount of time before you may call the shop to schedule. Please be patient. If you need to meet with an artist directly we can set up an in person consultation. This will require a deposit which is often rolled into your tattoo deposit but can be refunded if you do not want to move forward with your tattoo.

Drawing

Our artists draw the night before or day of your appointment so they are tattooing something that is fresh in their mind.  This enables them to focus on a few projects at once. When you come in for your tattoo appointment there is time to make any minor changes to the drawing before getting tattooed.  If you want to change your idea, that may change your appointment length. Let us know as soon as possible if the entire idea has been changed. If you show up to your appointment with an entirely different idea, your deposit will be forfeit and you will need to reschedule.

How do I make an appointment?

Fill out a CONSULTATION form located on our home page. many fields are required to move to the next question. the more detailed information you are able to provide, the easier this process is virtually.

once we have gathered all of the NECESSARY information we will hafe you contact the shop during business hours to put down a deposit and find a time that works for you and your artist.

For larger, more involved pieces we may start with an in person consultation with your artist. In this case, the more images and details you are able to provide in your CONSULTATION form, the more informed your artist is going into your consultation.

What is your availability?

We are working by appointment only. Appointment availability depends on the amount of time needed and the artist best suited for you tattoo.

How much will my tattoo cost?

Everything is priced individually based on a combination of size, placement, color, as well as. other specifics.  price quotes are given after we go through the details of your idea. Typically our artists charge around $200 hourly.

Can scars and moles be covered with tattoos?

It is DEPENDENT on the scar or mole.

Scars must be a minium of 1 year old. You will always be able to see the difference in skin texture but the scar may be masked by the tattoo. With scar tissue, there is a higher chance that ink will not stay well and that area could heal a bit lighter. Because of this, we do not offer complimentary touch ups on tattoos over scar tissue.

when can i see the drawing for my tattoo?

Drawings are always completed the night before or day of your SCHEDULED tattoo appointment. Drawings are not sent out prior to your tattoo appointment. this allows your artist to focus on one piece at a time rather than being in the middle of multiple projects.

The artist uses your consultation form to make a design that will age well and looks AESTHETICALLY pleasing. They will have one design ready for your appointment with a bit of extra time to make any minor modifications prior to tattooing.

How much is required for a deposit?

We take a $100 - $250 deposit depending on appointment length. 

this deposit is non-refundable, non-transferable, and will be applied to your last appointment.  

If you fail to  reschedule your appointment at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment the  deposit will be forfeited to the artist.

If a deposit is forfeited or used prior to your last session, you will need to put down another deposit to schedule an appointment.

a $50 consultation deposit is required to book an in person consultation with your artist after you have completed the consultation process via email. This deposit is refundable should you decide not to schedule a tattoo appointment or if you cancel your appointment more than 48 hours prior.

Are there age restrictions for tattoos?

Minnesota state law prohibits anyone under 18 to be tattooed regardless of parental consent.  If you are 18 or older, the state requires a valid, government issued ID to be presented at each tattoo appointment.  We do not allow minors in the shop unless they are receiving a piercing service. 

What sterilization procedures are used? 

We use single use, sterile needles or cartridges for every tattoo.  The tubes, which hold the needle inside of the machine, are first put in an ultrasonic to aid in removing the ink then, scrubbed, then packaged individually and put into an autoclave.  We use a Tuttenhauer EZ11 to  heat the tubes to 240 degrees for 30 minutes.  This sterilizes them inside of a package that can be opened when the artists is setting their station up for each client.  The station and all the equipment that can not be autoclaved is sanitized with Opti-Cide 3 which is the same disinfectant used in hospitals and dentist offices.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept cash and all major cards . We charge a 3% transaction fee on all electronic forms of payment.  We do not accept checks.

What is the touch- up policy?

We offer complimentary  touch ups for tattoos within six months, excluding those on the hands, feet, inner lips, and areas that are more prone to ink falling out due to placement or scar tissue. If you are planning to get another tattoo by the same artist in the near future, we encourage you to wait until your next appointment and combine the two.

Touch ups required due to improper aftercare are not complimentary.  E-mail a photo of your tattoo to the shop if you have questions.

Tips for your tattoo appointment

show up to your scheduled appointment on time.

Get a full night of sleep prior to your appointment.

Eat a meal prior to coming in. Feel free to bring snacks for longer appointments.

Be Hydrated and bring a water bottle. We have a water cooler in the lobby for refills.

If you have long hair in the area you’re getting tattooed feel free to trim it prior to arriving. If you do shave the area before your appointment, be sure there is no razor burn or cuts in the area.

Wear comfortable clothing that leaves the area being tattooed easily accessible. Backward button up’s or full zippers are great to wear backward when getting your back tattooed. A side tie bikini or loose fitting shorts are helpful for hip areas.

Wear dark colored clothing and/or clothing you don’t mind if it is ruined. Tattoo ink is nearly impossible to get out of clothing.

Bring headphones if you want to watch videos to avoid distracting other clients and artists.

If you are getting tattooed in the winter, especially on a foot or calf, bring some flip flops or slides to your appointment so you don’t have to put on winter boots to get up for breaks.
